Description

Rather than chasing one graha at a time, the navgraha mala carries a stone for each of the nine — the traditional answer for anyone whose chart has more than one planet asking for attention.

  • A nine-planet stone sequence repeated around the mala — black obsidian, citrine, clear quartz, coral, green aventurine, jasper, lapis lazuli, pearl, ruby and tiger eye
  • Traditionally worn to balance planetary energies and support harmony, clarity and protection
  • Lab-tested at an independent laboratory — scan the QR on your box to see your batch's report
  • Energised through Vedic ritual before dispatch (ceremony video included via QR)

Details

The nine grahas each have their stone in jyotish, and this mala strings the full set in repeating sequence rather than singling one out. Hand-knotted with a multi-strand tassel. Worn by people who would rather cover the whole chart than guess which graha is the troublesome one.

How to Wear

First wearing: Sunday morning after bath, ideally after a Navgraha stotra. Wear at chest level or use for japa. Cleanse monthly under moonlight. Remove while bathing and keep away from perfume and harsh chemicals.

Certification — Tested Before It Ships

Every KaalVeda batch is sample-tested for material identification at an independent testing laboratory before dispatch — gemstone and rudraksha lots go to Cambay Gemmological Lab, an ISO 9001:2015 certified gems, pearls and rudraksh testing laboratory. Your box carries a QR code that opens your batch's actual report — material identity, measurement, weight and batch number. If a batch fails identification, it never ships.

Good to know

Questions, answered

How many beads does it have?

108 + 1 — the traditional count, with a guru bead to mark the round. Malas are hand-knotted between beads so they hang evenly and a broken cord cannot scatter the whole strand.

How do I use it for japa?

Count with the thumb and middle finger, one bead per repetition, working toward the guru bead. When you reach it, turn the mala and come back the other way rather than crossing over it.

Can I wear it as well as count on it?

Yes. Most people wear theirs at chest level and use the same mala for practice. Tulsi kanthi is the exception — it is traditionally worn continuously once offered before the deity.

How do I look after it?

Keep it dry — rudraksha, karungali, tulsi, haldi and lotus-seed malas are all organic and will swell or darken with soaking. Store it in the cloth pouch provided, and oil rudraksha lightly twice a year.
